What Big or Little Moments Pulled You Through 2025?
Why Every Moment of 2025 Matters
Every moment—good or bad—teaches us who we are and how we respond to the world. By cherishing small joys and facing hard times, we build the resilience needed to thrive. If you’re reading this post, congratulations, you survived 2025. I could finish my post with that, but that seems like cheating.
No, I want every one of us to look back on the past year. Think of all the moments you frowned or smiled, struggled or succeeded. Those moments made us who we are, and we should be grateful for every one of them.
We can attempt to shut ourselves off from the distasteful periods, but we will also miss out on the sweet times.

The Power of Small Joys: Snowflakes and Soda Bubbles
I’ve written about personal growth, success, and hope in the past. It could be that I tend towards optimism, which shapes how I reflect on difficulty. It could also be because one doesn’t find very many negative fortune cookies. Seriously, I can’t remember ever having a fortune that read, “You suck at everything.”
Nonetheless, every moment in our lives can have meaning. We can cherish those special moments. The big ones, like weddings and graduations, are a fine time to celebrate. We can also savor the little things, like when the fat snowflakes gently fall in the silence outside, or when we sip a carbonated beverage and the bubbles tickle our noses. All of those moments fill our souls and sustain us when not-so-great times come a-knockin’.

How to Use Hard Times as Fuel for Growth
When life gets hard—and it will now and then—know that it is a challenge for us to step up and push through it. Remember those heart-warming moments and use them for momentum to overcome adversity. Smells of food, sounds of music or laughter, even the feeling of a soft blanket or loving hug can be your focus.
What are some big or little moments that pulled you through 2025? What are some that made you stop and think?
Whether 2025 brought struggle or success, every moment taught you something valuable. On top of that, every day was a new chance to try again, grow, and be a better you. Here is to 365 more of them. Feel free to share them in the comments.
Happy New Year!
